“So where the hell have I been? Why the hell are my posts so darn boring? “
-Asked by no one.
Well…honestly I’ve just been feeling sorry for myself…as usual. And it’s going to stop this week. It’s not fun staying at home and saying no to friends. It’s not fun to be sad about things you have no control over (work!)….so this weekend will be the end my funk. I said it so I’m going to make it happen.
If I have to quote Stuart Smalley every single morning to myself in the mirror…so be it!
Another thing, what the hell happened to my blog? It’s not funny and lacks new snacks and recipes! That’s another thing I’m working on. I’m a funny b*tch who likes to cook and you wouldn’t even know! So the posts for the past few months? Shake it like a baby, and get it out of your minds.
There. I’m not promising my blog will do a 180 in a day but I’m actually going to care more about the “content” now…don’t worry, no diet tips or fasts are on the horizon. Content just means more celeb gossip and new products from the grocery store…priorities people.
Hope you stay with me…again!
So now switching gears, the past few weeks have been a bit boring (11 hour work days) but these things I know are TRUE:
-
These two make me wake up in the morning.
Smother this stuff on waffles, oatmeal, greek yogurt, WHATEVER. Just try them.
-
Red Baron Buffalo Style Chicken Pizza is delicious. Buffalo sauce instead of tomato sauce? I think I lost a few taste buds but it was a spicy and tangy way to lose them.
-
It’s all about the seasoning. I got this parmesan pesto seasoning and finally used it on some pork chops I broiled.
Salt and pepper are good but add a bit of this stuff and it makes the dish “creamier” tasting. Sounds nasty but it’s true.
-
I don’t care if I grow another ovary. Buying nonfarm raised salmon is expensive. I bought a POUND of “ethically friendly” farm raised salmon from Whole Paycheck and it was still 20 bucks a pound! The nonfarm raised stuff was $27 a pound!!! Sorry Glenn, you are going to grow a third eye or we have to start budgeting better to incorporate this biweekly in our lives.
Or we can just live off these. I still love you salmon burgers.
- Rihanna and I wear the same thing when we work out. I was doing laundry and realized that I have more sports bras than shorts in the wash…hey undies are the new lululemon workout attire.
- I love making fun of my family. If you are Asian then you know the following video is 100% true. I almost cried laughing. The “Shit ____ say” is getting old but this made me howl. And even if you don’t have an Asian dad, you might have spotted one at your local Ross, Big Lots, etc.
Have a fabulous week. I’m busting out of my funk, it’s glad to be back to (almost) normal!
How did you beat your winter blues?

I snort-laughed at that video. OMG. Dying over here. Alone. In my apartment. I also got sucked into the bloopers link…also hilarious.
Don’t let me catch you paying $20 a damn pound for salmon again, wtf.
I don’t understand why Rihanna is posting all these pics of herself on vacation in here bikini. We get it, you have a nice body and you like smoking pot. Big whoop. Gimme the Chris Brown details Rihanna!
I think your blog has been funny, I have no idea what you’re worried about
“Rihanna and I wear the same thing when we work out.” -LOL. that was too funny! did you see the YouTube video where she gave them fan a lap dance on stage?! UHM–WHOAAA!!!
see you tonight!
dude. costo has non farmed salmon. frozen and individually sealed so no funky freezer burn. and 9 or 10 bucks a pound.
costo has salmon burgers too.
I’m trying hard to fight the winter blues too. Doesn’t help that I’m alone so much…I need friends. lets chat online/text soon!?
And is it sad I don’t know what buffalo sauce is? oops.

Glad to hear that you are busting out of your funk girl!! I am in a bit of a funk too, so I know what you mean.
I’ll stick with your blog no matter what, and don’t apologize. You’re blog is just a reflection of yourself, no need to force it into something else. What I mean is, its fine as is!
I can totally relate to the winter blues…combated by solid personal downtime, tv (yup, lame), and hopes of change. and booze sometimes, too.
I’ll always read your blog bc I love you and think you are all sorts of hilarious all the time! glad to hear you’re gonna work on being happier…holla with the secret.
have a great weekend!
Secrets don’t make friends…unless we are already friends! Excited for you my dear!
Ha ha. I loved the part about the salmon…
I have been in a blog funk recently too, boo!
I always feel a little sad that I’m adopted so I can’t really get the jokes in videos like that.
Womp, womp.
OMFG that video is awesome, when can I meet your dad??
I can’t get down with cooked salmon but I wonder if I would like a salmon burger with the bun and fixings? I guess it’s a good thing I don’t like it because you know I wouldnt pay that much!
LMAO sooooooo true! When are you free? Let’s get some coffee and see when we can try running together before the Sneak!
Part of it has to be the winter blues, I go through this every single year. Shake it off, it will get better. And for the record, I still think you’re a funny b*tch!
